Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I Choose a Facial Plastic Surgeon? A facial plastic surgeon is specifically trained to treat the face and neck, while a general plastic surgeon performs plastic surgery on the entire body. Since a facial plastic surgeon exclusively treats the face and neck, he is likely to have performed many more procedures in that specific area. Should my Surgeon be Board Certified? Yes! Board Certification means that your surgeon has undergone rigorous training and passed difficult testing to certify his skills. This qualification allows you to be assured that you are in the hands of the most qualified physician to perform your procedure! Is Facial Plastic Surgery Painful? Facial plastic procedures are relatively pain-free or come with very minor discomfort. Must I Stay in a Hospital after Facial Surgery? Most of Dr. Milgrim’s procedures are performed as an outpatient and under local or light anesthesia. Patient Safety is Dr. Milgrim’s utmost concern, so if hospitalization or general anesthesia is needed, he will work closely with you so that you experience the utmost in comfort and care while in the hospital. Is Facial Plastic Surgery Covered by Insurance? In most cases, no. There are some procedures that may be covered partially by insurance, but for the most part, your surgery is an out of pocket expense. Dr. Milgrim has payment plans if you’d like to budget your aesthetic transformation through CareCredit. We’ll be happy to assist you in securing the financing you need.
